A Breakthrough in Personal Information Research
Through his innovation and creativity, co-founder and CEO of Intellius, Naveen Jain, has earned recognition throughout the years for both himself and his company. Among the other numerous awards and acknowledgments he has received are the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal. Indeed, Jain’s groundbreaking ideas and achievements have made quite an impact upon the business community as illustrated by the various prestigious recognitions he has received.
Naveen Jain was born and raised in Uttar Pradesh, the fifth largest state in India. He earned his engineering undergraduate degree at the University of Roorkee and later on pursued his MBA at St. Xavier’s School of Management. In 1979, Jain migrated to the United States through a business exchange program and somewhere in between the late 1980s and early 1990s; he acquired a position in the Microsoft Corporation as project manager. One of his previous duties for Gates’ company was to work on MSN in its early stages. In other words, Jain was laying the foundation for Microsoft’s flagship Internet service.
In 1996, Mr. Jain left Microsoft with hopes to build something more out of his capabilities. Right after his resignation, he launched a service provider for Internet services, the Infospace that later on became the primary telephone and address content provider for the MSN, AOL and other huge Web properties.
In January 2003, Naveen Jain founded Intelius, a company that provides individuals and businesses access to state records, telephone records, public records and other related data types. Through Intelius, Jain has opened up a new approach in personal information research, one that helps customers come up with intelligent decisions that spell safety and security.
